About Sarah

All my life I have enjoyed meeting people and been curious about their lives.

At the start of my career I worked in publishing -- writing reviews, meeting authors and writing press releases, organising interviews and pieces for newspapers.  When my children were small I went into teaching before becoming a Headteacher.  It was an extremely challenging but rewarding career that enabled me to be there for children and families alike.  I realised that I wanted to carry on meeting new people and combine that with my love of writing, my talent for organisation and ‘getting things done’!  So here I am, a Celebrant,  which allows me to help bring some joy and yes, celebration, into the lives of others.  We need to enjoy the small things in life for sure, but we must also honour the big things, both past and present. Some things that I love to do:  write, read (you can never have too many books), cook, walk by the sea, cold water swimming and being with my family and our menagerie of animals.

I’d love to help you make your event beautiful and memorable, so please feel free to contact me for an initial discussion.
